Striped bass that I tagged in NJ were recaptured at Sleepy Hollow, NY, and the Troy Dam. Always check your fish for tags. You can get up to $1,000 for reporting a tagged fish.

Loc: Live in Saugerties, NY
I’m in - I’ve relocated in Saugerties. Missed last April/May run due to renovation and work. I have teased Schoolies up (white eel lures) in Hudson City but they got turned away/spooked constantly by the leaves on top (last Fall). I don’t target the Spring Run. No true desire to mess with breeding massive fish.
If I hooked into a 40 inch one getting her up the rocks or up a pier would be quite a thing. My PB was 28” in Brooklyn. That said - you will find me in a couple of different places this April-May praying to Not hook a massive Striper. I finally found a good source for Bunker. I have only in the past used eel lures - my first Striper was accidentally caught on btm jig loaded with chix gizzard and a piece of shrimp targeting Tautogs. Striper took it on the fall off Red Hook in Brooklyn. Itching to go out now!
Hi:
I've heard that the stripers are in the East River and just below the New Tappan Zee Bridge. Will look to try out in the next week or so and will advise.
Thanks for the update. Let me know

Meanwhile, to whomever started this Forum, I've found some fish, but have not found the strippers mentioned and I am single. Where are they in addition to north of the Tap. Tee Hee!!!
