The flutter lures arrived today. They are beautiful. I have some Power Bait minnows that I've been wanting to try. These would be perfect. I'll check at the post office as to the cost of the postal envelope plus 1.26 postage. I would also like to remit 5 dollars for the lures. They are well worth it.
As the Post office is closing in 15 minutes l will check on the postal envelope tomorrow.
Thanks π again,

My older brother John taught me everything that I know about fishing. He made many outstanding rigs and lures. I won the pool on NJ fluke fishing π£ party boats 26 times in the summer of 1969 by using his special rigs and bait. We changed and revolutionized party boat fluking. He also made many thousands of shad flutter spoons. Iβm trying to sell them at 2 for a dollar for him. He is now in a nursing home. So sad.
Hey NJ 219 bands PM me about your brother spoons I like to buy a few !!

I'd like to give a shout out to my uncle Jim. He had such patience teaching this dopey little kid how to fish.
Uncle Jim will be 90 this coming July. Although he can no longer fish his mind is still sharp and we can talk about our memories and things he taught me. Now it's my turn to teach my grandchildren
If you have a special someone that taught you how to fish, or quit possibly your self taught, give them a shout out here.

8 months ago I started this thread and today I got to read this tribute to my Uncle Jim, as his friends and family celebrated his 90th birthday. For a 90 year old he's doing quite well.
His wife, my Aunt Sue surcumed to cancer a few years ago and he misses her greatly. He was however pleased to see the number of people who turned out for his milestone birthday.
Uncle Jim always called me Rudolph because of my youthful Red Hair, now white with my own age.
He said to me, with a grin," Rudolph now it's your turn to pass on what I've tought you."Then he said to my wife Joyce," If he doesn't, let me know. I still have some fight left in this old body". She assured him I was indeed carrying on the tradition.

My father in law taught me how to flyfish and how to make flys including one named after a distant relative who has flys named after him
