Hey buddy. My buddy George (the bus) who I was hoping to fish with him on his boat can’t make it He has a week long trip planned for Lake Almanor the following week and can’t fit both trips into his schedule. I’m still planning on making it up to the M&G at least for the BBQ. I’m not the most skilled LMB fisherman but would love to find a seat on a boat for a day of two. Just throwing that out there.

I am staying at the Campground with 40Grit in his trailer, so we are going to fish together and I have offered 3rd spot to Saw1. Saw1 will be staying at Campground near us and we fish together all the time, so of course I offer to him first. If anything changes, I will make sure to contact you. My understanding was there were going to be plenty of boats at M&G. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Thanks. I’ll be staying at my buddies home right on the water on the north end of the lake. He has a great private on water dock and is close to some of the best fishing areas on the entire lake.I’m going to be fishing at Lake Berryessa in a few weeks with NoCal Steve I’ll touch base with him. He would be more than welcome to stay with me at my buddy’s place. Five minute ride to some of the best fishing grounds on the entire lake and he can dock his boat right on the water!

Hello fish fam,I am excited to announce that I will be putting together this years NorCal Meet & Greet, which will be taking place May 5TH 6Th and 7TH,it will be at the same location as last years,Clear Lake Campground 7805 Cache Creek Way,Clearlake,CA,95422,they have space to accommodate trailers, the spots are 25’ up 40’ long and 18-24’ wide, they offer full hook ups and a 30amp hook up,also room for tent camping(1 car per spot,1 tent per spot, and 2 people max,no overnight guests, only those registered for said spot) last years, which was put on by saw1 and 40GRIT was a lot of fun, great to put a face and personality with the texts and bio pic, let’s keep it going,ok,I’m asking for everyone interested in going to give feedback on what’s being asked here,Tee shirts, would everyone be willing to spend $20 for an event shirt? And long or short sleeve? Size? The money made on the shirt sales would fund a BBQ dinner for all attendees on Saturday night at the camp site, not everyone may be there Friday night,I’m talking burgers, hotdogs, beans, potato salad, green salad, and garlic bread, beer or alcohol will be BYOB,as I am not taking responsibility for that, feedback on this?? The shirt would have the date, place,FishingStage name, and some type of bass design on back, again, feedback? Now for boats, there is a boat landing near by the campground, the employees at the ramp are very strict about you being up to date on your boats paperwork, especially the muscle tag, which you can obtain from your local DMV, it will be far more expensive at the ramp, and it is a procedure in order to have it done, please be prepared, make sure your boat is ready to go and running well, please state if you are bringing a boat ,as last year, the people who brought boats up were generous enough to allow others who have come up to go fishing, without boats, some time to fish on the water in a boat, of course, only taking what can safely be seated and fished out of, we try and rotate those without a boat onto the boats for this experience, with that being said, please Google Map the surrounding fishing banks and docks in the area of our campground, or where you possibly would want to drive to to fish, just in case not everybody has the opportunity to get on a boat,a bit of gas money offered to the boat owners is greatly appreciated, again, please tell me ahead of time if you plan on bringing a boat so I can make sure the campsite has parking for our vehicles,it will be your responsibility to bring food, water, beer, alcohol, etc etc only Saturday nights dinner will be offered to all,if the shirt idea is a go,it will be your responsibility to bring your own camping gear/fishing gear, the campground does have a shower available, bring toiletries. The weather is usually nice this time of year, still tho be prepared,Now,we all know of Clearlake’s reputation for record bass, and we all also know that skunks are ever present, don’t give up and bring a bit of everything to throw at the fish!! Some nice fish were caught last year. Let’s get those interested in going to commit ASAP, I want to be able to reserve enough spots to accommodate everybody, and I would like to get us in side-by-side campsites if possible, the later it takes to get a number of how many people will be attending, the more of a chance we will be spread out amongst the campsites, and not as a big group, the whole purpose is to meet people from the forum,I want feedback on the possibility of a event T-shirt sale to fund a barbecue, I need to hear from you guys bringing boats, let’s get this thing rolling people! Last year’s was a ton of fun and I want to try and make this year’s a little better, I am sure there is some thing I am forgetting here, but if you have any questions please send me a PM, and if I do not have the answer for you, I will get it for you. I want to try and make this a annual event, let’s do this fishing Fam!!!

Hey Rhyno, I was just reading your message from February and was wondering if I can fish out of my kayak, would I need to be inspected also? I would just tent camp out of my Xpress van. How many people do you expect at such an event?

Well boys and girls, Clear Lake is alive and kicking. Big 2 day ABA bass tourney going on this weekend. Day 1 results: 31 lbs for 1st place, #1 through #34 each angler weighed in a limit weighing more than 20lbs! And the lake isn't even on fire yet. If you are undecided about attending the M&G that's the kind of fishing that screams.... ATTEND!

Not 1st place... I should have said the day 1 leader had 31lbs. Sorry if I confused anyone but it gives a glimpse of what it is like living with my mind!

Since I only have 12 gallon tank, we will take boat and launch where it makes sense. I am open to fishing anywhere on the lake.

Ok,so I was talking to Lisa from the campsite, she has brought up a great point to know about the campsites, mainly because it was questioned to her,the campsite does NOT ALLOW DAY USE,if you are planning on attending the M&G and you do not have a campsite reservation, you are not allowed to “hang out” with the others in the campgrounds,I will repeat that,if you do not have a campsite reservation, you can not hang out in the campgrounds, you will be asked to verify your campsite reservation or you will be asked to leave, sorry, not my rules, also,if you are bringing a kayak to fish out of,you are exempt from the mussels inspections, only boats will be required to do the mussels inspection, any questions please PM me,thank you Ryan🎣

So if I am staying at my buddies place on the lake, I will not be allowed in to attend the BBQ? Not to be able to meet my friend there in the morning to fish on his boat?
