It’s been slow throughout the entire area of SW Washington for Steelhead this winter. I changed strategy today. With the morning temps in the 20’s, I decided to skip the morning and wait until the water warmed a bit in the afternoon. I guess you could say that it may have made a difference.
It made for a nice dinner for several family members tonight

That’s a Beauty maniac!

What rod/reel/line/leader setup were you float fishing the jig on?
I center-pin but some of my buddies use spinning gear.
Either way, lots of fun when that bobber goes under!
Thanks for the photo!!!

I’ve attached some photos of my preferred bobber gear that I have shared with some other Stage members previously.
I have, and use other bobber and bait combos, but these are my favorites.
Good luck to you and your fishing pals on a successful Steelhead season!
I’ll be watching for pics.

Do you adjust the lure\jig to be 8" above the river bottom in deepest part of hole you fish? have it suspended even higher?
