R.I.P. John Adams
When I was in 10th grade myself and two buddies skipped school to go to the second Indians game of the year. The first game is a sell out. The second gets 2,000 people max most years. It’s April in Cleveland, usually cold and wet. We sat in the bleachers and danced to John’s drum with bags on our heads. He was super nice and friendly to us. It was snowing. Alvero Ezpanosa stole home. Some people from a suite bright us some booze. All an all an unforgettable day!! The coolest part of the story is John always remembered our names when we’d go say hi while attending games after that. I think the last time I spoke to him was 2015. He still remembered me and that day. John had a lot of medical issues the past few years and I’m glad to know he hurts no more. RIP to a Cleveland LEGEND!!!!

Great story J!
We used to take the 8 hr drive every year during the 4th of July holiday week to visit family in Shaker Heights. We always included a trip to watch the Tribe at Municipal Stadium (back in the day) we’d sit real close to the action because the Indians couldn’t draw flys! Once they built “the Jake”, the team was a contender always sold out so we sat wherever we could get seats on the secondary market.
Always heard him beating the drum!
