The carp looking fish was caught from Lake Limestone in Texas and the eel like fish caught in Florida- think it may be a hogfish? Not sure. Please pray for my friend from Iceland who caught the hogfish- he had a heart attack but is doing ok in hospital

I think a lizardfish, snakefish, sand pike, and a couple of other names.

Having a second look at your picture, I say a Trumpet fish of which there are several different kinds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4bu8HOc0Us and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BawGrnHpVeI

Look at the head of the Trumpet fish and the head of the fish caught by FLTX.
They are different. The Trumpet and Cornet fish can be ruled out by the head of this fish.
