It’s a Trumpet fish I am told! Sure is a strange looking thing!

The carp looking fish was caught from Lake Limestone in Texas and the eel like fish caught in Florida- think it may be a hogfish? Not sure. Please pray for my friend from Iceland who caught the hogfish- he had a heart attack but is doing ok in hospital

Well Rog, I misidentified the fish, not doing much for my reputation that way, Soooooo sorry. It IS a buffalo, did some checking on Bing and found some good pix. Kinda though the color was a little too brown & not yellow/gold enough, but my big mistake as you know was the dorsal fin. Here's my excuse and I'll stick with it : I musta been tired ( whines mournfully) ........ 🥱. Nutz

Looks like a Small Mouth Buffalo.
The front of the dorsal on more peaked.

Don’t have a clue on the other pic.
