" good stick "

Got to laugh on that one Wulffy. My mind went right to the playground at recess time at the Catholic school i attended seeing one particular Nun always with a yard stick in her hand.

Yep that yard stick made quite a few Lad measure up or else.

A Franciscan Brother at Catholic high school kept a ping pong paddle on the corner of his desk for all to see. Never used it or ever heard that he did. Visual effect worked well evidently.

I faced that stick everyday!! There was no way 3rd or 4th grade J was staying in the 4th and under part of the recess yard when the older boys were playing, baseball or basketball. I was getting in that game. The pain was temporary and worth it to me!🤣😂🤣

Good thought too but I’ve seen, “no good deed go unpunished”. MANY TIMES!!! I wish you hit only good in return for helping others. But I’ve gotten screwed!!!

Good morning, plum. I didn't need a stick or a paddle, my look would normally do the job because they knew I was going to talk to them with my hand next. Thank you and have a good day.

I’m sure we’ve all gotten screwed at one time or another J but when counting blessings they far outweigh the crap. At least for me they do.

Great reminder Plumbob!

By doing the little things every day our responses become the habit we live our lives by, training ourselves for a greater calling - when that opportunity presents itself, our reaction is reflexive, immediate & natural.
All instincts we hope someone has when we are in need...
