I'd never heard of such a thing, they had the registration info and the purchase price, but they want a declared statement of value...of course I could only get half what I paid for it, we all know that, right?

Tax you for the value of your boat?...you pay that every time you register it with the state.

Never heard anything like this before. I guess it’s property but not land or real property. Don’t send them anything. Research the topic. Or tell them it’s worth $10

Hi Wood, give them today's discounted value. It can't get worse. Haven't heard of that one in a long time. Next will be mandated boater safety certificate. Age based right now from what I understand. Coming to all of us in CA. Please v**e in your own best interest everytime. Nothing else matters now.

It’s taxed as personal property so value it as low as you can. Every year as it’s a “luxury tax “ in California

Tell them it's worthless. It has a hole in the it. But don't tell them the hole is where the drain plug goes.

So I guess, that if you can afford a boat you have to much money, so we’re going take some from you. How about that motor home? We’re gonna have to tax you on that too. Is there anything else you worked your butt off for that we can tax you on. Ahhh, come on. There’s gotta be something else we can tax you on. Something that you’re not deserving of. It’s a bunch of BS… 🐟on

Hey Wood in NC it was considered personal property as is tractors. A 3% personal property tax plus your boat registration does add up.

I live in North Carolina. I get a tax bill every year for my 12 ft V -hull aluminum boat with 2 trolling motors- no gas motor.I paid $ 200.00 dollars 5 years ago. My tax bill is $1.90 a year. I manage to save up to pay it. Merry Christmas all Bobby

State wants more money
My value went down 3%
Are they going to give me money back
Nope it’s California
We just give them money
So they can take more away from us who pay taxes
