yes they do get kind of possessive of their feeder and don't like to share much with others either. I have had them buzz me when I go to bing them in to fill them up. really like their spunk

DIDO... sometimes it's like an airport without traffic controllers..

we have humming birds that stay all year so I made up a little 15w light heater to keep the liquid from freezing. didn't want their little tongues stuck to the feeder

Nice of you! That's a visual tho, lol

My sister lives in Burlington, WA. She said they got 14 inches overnight. Bothell got 3". Came home today, we have at least 17" of new snow. Looking like 2.5 feet total so far. Those are beautiful pictures.

we are suppose to get heavy rain Friday and Sat. and I think you will have freezing rain turning to plain ol rain which means you may be in for some messy conditions as all that snow turns to slush

I kinda like this light snow, even if it is cold. Snowblower works great when it's not heavy and wet.

That hummingbird had better head South!

My friends up on the Strait of Juan de Fula had over a foot of snow. They have about 50 hummingbirds that overwinter in the grapevines in their yard. I’m envious. But we do have Cardinals and Blue Jays at my feeders in winter. I guess we’re even.

we only have a few hummingbirds that are year round and a lot of chickadees and once in a while a woodpecker but nothing colorfully like cardinals or blue birds but I still enjoy watching them flutter around

I always liked that area up there but one December on my way over the pass I slid off the hwy there and had to be towed out so I know the roads can get pretty bad in the snow

My hummingbird flock has been reduced... it was zero degrees this morning and after putting out the feeders at dawn and checking on them around 8 am I found two little guys in the snow below the feeders.. don't know if they were there earlier or not...

On a happier note I just finished cutting up a rib eye, sealed them and got them in the freezer..
