Unbelievable cold

Just saw on news an artic blast going to put temperature in parts of the country at MINUS 50 degrees!
I can honestly say, even having done some training in the antartic,that i ever remember temperatures that cold …ever…i think even the oil in your car would freeze!🥶🥶🥶

yes that is cold when I was up north it got down to -40 a couple times at that you can toss the eater out of a bucket up. into the air and it freezes before hitting the ground. when I first moved up there I asked a guy how it felt when it got really cold and he said -20 or -50 all feels the same the only difference is how long it takes to freeze to death.

G****l w*****g, yes. Don't confuse weather with c*****e c****e. A warmer climate causes more frequent e*****e w*****r. Hotter hot, colder cold ,ect. But also extremes we have had occasionally forever, it was -40* in Feb. 1976, also the worst thunderstorm I have ever seen July 4th that same year in the Willamette Valley . We almost never get severe weather here. But gradually we are getting hotter and drier and our Fir trees are starting to die.
C*****e c****e is gradual, a part of a degree in the yearly average, hardly noticable if not for the extremes,they get our attention.

The earth is 5 billion years old. We have 100 years of weather data. Its almost comical for anyone to say they know what the earth is doing or not doing…….in the 70s the “ experts “ said we were due for another ice age….in the 80s it was acid rain was gonna k**l uscall….then the 90s I remember how the earth only had a few years left because of the giant hole in the O zone was gonna fry us all alive! then we were told by 2015 the sea was gonna rise 20 feet. I think these “ experts “ like to hear themselves talk, always wrong.

You sure good buddy? Yeah all the climactic stuff was talked about but who said what and when? Just curious. Acid rain was going to what? The O zone was going to what? Who was it or is exaggeration acceptable? I heard about all those things but not the timeline your suggesting.
