Shower? Bath? When? The stereotype is that guys prefer to take a shower while ladies like to soak in the tub. I go for the tub more often now that I'm retired, what's your choice?

Next question is when? Yeah I know, when you need one! But in addition to an unscheduled clean-up, some folks shower when they get up in the morning and other people finish the day with soap and water. What's your choice, and why?

I clean up before I go to bed. Partly to be as fresh as possible for the lady next to me, and partly because I sleep better if I'm clean.

IDK, Barn, you are getting kind of personal. Marion has never complained. I have a shower/bath combination and I can't remember ever using the tub. The GKs have used the jacuzzi in the tub, I think.

I take a shower every Saturday night whether I need it or not. lol. I prefer to shower in the evening but Dee prefers morning. Never a hassle that way

Typically I shower in the morning, but lately since I am working from home (starting between 3:30 and 4:30) I shower at lunchtime so I don’t bother the Wife at that hour.
I may even take another one at night to remove the grime after a round of golf, or working outside. I don’t like to go to bed dirty.
I can’t remember the last time I took a bath.

I'm a shower guy myself, never could understand getting clean in a pool of dirty water. Normally at night, unless it's a special occasion. Now that I'm retired, every couple days, unless I'm getting real sweaty or dirty doing something. Don't need to take a shower to go fishing. I grew up with the once a week bath, don't waste the well water! Still have a well.

We shower at night. Ranch work gets you dirty and sweaty most of the year here in East Texas.

Use the "hot tub" when we over do it like when throwing hay bales around. Sure helps get rid of some of the aches and pains.

Barnacles like you I prefer evening for sleep quality. If it's a day idid nothing n I have a Dr appointment next day I shower in the morning. Still wash my face before bedtime. Not unusual for wife to shower morning n evening 👍only time I use tub is when my back is messed up. Stay squeaky clean kids n don't forget to wash behind your ears 🤣🤣

Remember the saying "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water!" Last one to get in there.

Grizzly, you mentioned something that rang a bell ..."Don't forget to wash behind your ears!"
I remember when I was a kid, I was always being asked whether I'd washed behind my ears. Sometimes, I'd get grabbed by the ear for a quick check, especially by one Aunt. I wondered whether that was all that mattered, if I just washed behind my ears, could I leave everything else dirty??

Shower every morning about 6:00am. Then again about 6:00 pm. Need a shower to feel awake and ready to face the day in the morning. And I’m dirty after a day of work.
