Well I finally got a deer this past weekend. Saturday I had to go to Kenosha, WI. To drop off some stuff for a buddy. On highway 50 about 10 miles out from my destination, I got a 6 point buck, the only problem is I got it with my son's 2021 Ram pickup. He insisted I take his as my 06 suburban has 270000 miles on the clock. The good news is he has full coverage insurance on his and my suburban only has liability on it, so it will be fixed at insurances expense, minus $500 deductible. The truck survived rather well though. I was able to finish my delivery and get back home with it, with no problems.

Dang buddy, glad you're alright and there wasn't any sever damage. Did you throw the deer in the bed of the truck?

No I didn't, it was too torn up from hitting it at 60 mph, then dragged under truck for about a quarter mile, so I just left him there.

Morning, Bc, that's a tough break. There is going to be more damage than you may think. A deer hit me in the rear quarter panel of the state DNR truck and committed suicide. I have bumped a few others with no damage to the vehicle or the deer. My DIL hit six of them before she graduated from HS. She also totaled out Brad's car the night before they were to get married. She got glasses after that. They have helped, but she has gotten a few deer after they have been married.
I don't know yet but that truck seems to be built like a tank.
That sucks! But, that is what insurance is for.
My streak ended at 40 years of driving before I hit my first one after LOTS of close calls. She did close to $5000 worth of damage.
Hope the repairs on yours goes well!
I like to see people getting deer but not that way. Hopefully they can get it in and fixed without too much hassle. The important thing is that you are okay. The truck can be fixed

That's too bad BC, but at least you're ok. I've known a few who tried wildly to avoid the critter, and wound up totaling the vehicle and getting hurt as well. That's what insurance is for. Glad you're ok.

Glad no human injuries. Know what it is like here in Pa.
Y'all are right the truck can be fixed or replaced, people can't.
