Thanks NJ, keep it up with those stripers. Iโ€™ve read there was a ton of peanuts in the surf from Sandy Hook down to Manasquan inlet the last few days and the bite was on.

You're up early Brad. I've been up since 3:00 am watching old TV shows. Daniel Boone now. Have a good day brother ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽฃ

Headed out to a little state lake over in Jersey this afternoon in search of some crappies. Zero on the craps but found some nice gills and pretty good perch.

I caught nothing on my last trip to Manasquan Inlet but my friendโ€™s friend caught 91 striped bass in the Sandy Hook surf recently. I may go fishing today.

Most fishermen would be very pleased by a catch like that. Even though some may publicly poo poo pan fish as insignificant. I personally love panfish. They are usually available in places that I can fish without company, except for maybe a beaver or muskrat. A perch that size always puts a big smile on my face. Great job.

When I arrived at the inlet I saw a fisherman lose a shad on a metal. Then I saw a surf fisherman catch and release two striped bass on a popper before I caught, tagged and released an undersized striped bass on an A-Salt Bomber on the jetty and in the ocean at night. One hit with 125 casts in more than two hours was very slow fishing. The stripers were south of Mantoloking today. Gale force wind and rain predicted for tomorrow.
