I was at 37st. this morning to catch the incoming HTide. I tried bunker, clams, and used a bucktail with teaser
on my 3rd pole trying the suds. No bites and quit around 12:30.

Hey all, JD here and new to forum.Don’t put too much weight on my reports. Long time angler but first year surf fishing. Was at IBSP at back of high tide yesterday Lots of cabbage and difficult to fish. Saw birds working back side of sand bar, no activity close.Got a couple dinks the day before. I have heard on local fishing report larger fish have moved into AC but haven’t seen personally or been able to get out.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, I am tied up this week and will not get out until
next week when the cold weather really hits. We'll see where I go ? Perhaps Holgate or maybe Brigantine, Ventnor,
or Margate ?

There’s still stripers around mostly schoolie sized. Fish slower. And move a lot. You can be casting in one spot getting none and then move 50 yards and catch 10. Some sand eels around so maybe match those. Saw one report the Tom’s river has some good fish in there. You can always target white perch in rivers and feeder creeks.

Is there any activity in the LBI Surf or at the Barneget Inlet. Weather is unusually warm so I might take a shot ?

Go for it. There are schoolie sized stripers around but they’re in schools, your either on them all, or not at all. So keep moving till you find them. You can be 50 yards from them and never know it. Some reports say there are still some peanut bunker around, all reports say sand eels are present so I would say slender lures and plugs such as Ava’s , deadly ducks, tsunami holographic eels, soft plastic Shad’s and swim baits, SP minnows, all fished with a teaser tied on above. Water is very cold so slow down your retrieve. Head boats have been getting tog and sea bass out on wrecks so that’s another option.

Great - Thanks for the info. I'm never disappointed about getting up to the Surf, but it is nice to land something.
I will give it a shot today.

Thinking about fishing tomorrow down by the inlet. Any news about Blackfish/Tog still being caught ?

The waters very cold 38 degrees. Chances of tog at jetties are slim to none. I haven’t heard anything to the contrary. But the head boats have been doing great taking them off wrecks.

I should have added that the tog being caught from boats are in deeper water, 40 to 75 ft.
