It's a little after 9PM here. I imagine most of you are back home safe or home if you didn't travel. I hope you all had a nice, satisfying day. Share some highlights with us if you want. I had two highlights. The wonderful meal my wife cooked and the side dishes the family brought. The other was sitting with my 5 month old grandaughter watching football while her parents ate their Thanksgiving meal.

First time in since “I don’t know when” that our entire family got together for Thanksgiving!! Wife and I were the ones to travel as all the young’ns, live in the Twin Cities. Got together for a brunch thing. Started with a Bloody Mary bar with all the trimmings, boiled eggs, shrimp, mushrooms, beef sticks, cheese chunks, olives, salami, celery, pickles, horseradish! Awesome! Kinda fun when grandkids are bringing food to the pot-luck! SIL smoked a turkey, had a eggs benedict bake, jalapeño hash browns, homemade caramel rolls, fried eggs on the smoker along with the bacon and sausage! I would have included pictures, but you guys would eat your computers!! Truly a Blessed Thanksgiving! Peace to you all!

I kinda like the concept of breakfast for Thanksgiviing celebration. Lots more casual than a dining room table

No kidding! Having grown up with Grandmas china and silverware, paper plates and red solo cups, certainly allows more time for interacting with the grandkids ( aged 4-20) and no dishes to do! And you know what? It all tastes the same! (Sorry Mom!)

I agree with you too Thomer. So much work and prep goes into a meal that lasts an hour. The people putting it together work 2-3 days or more. It's not a holiday for them.

Maybe a cornish hen for each person, potatoes, gravy, and a salad as sides, on paper plates. Then the cook can go watch the game and fall asleep too.

Went to the local Walmart thinking 🤔 it's gonna be elbow to elbow shopping nuts! Nope just a handful of people passing out from food sticker prices! I think most people are being cautious, getting a few things for the kid's and immediate family and holding on to their money.
