Happy Birthday RJS. You deserve many more. Here's hoping you'll live to be a teenager again.

I have just come to the realization of what my problem really is, and this describes both my problem and what happens when one had it.

Ménière disease is a disorder of the inner ear that affects balance and hearing. This condition is characterized by sudden episodes of extreme dizziness (vertigo), a roaring sound in the ears (tinnitus), a feeling of pressure or fullness in the ears, and fluctuations in hearing. Episodes are often associated with nausea and vomiting, and they can severely disrupt activities of daily living.

The episodes associated with Ménière disease generally last several hours. Studies suggest that episodes can be triggered by stress, tiredness (fatigue), emotional upset, illness, and dietary factors. I personally don’t feel tired, nor any emotional problems, and as far as I can tell nothing else but this ear problem, which contributes to me falling at unexpected times.

I have all the symptoms, ringing and popping in my ears, feeling like I have water in my ears, and an itching in both ears. I should have realized this much sooner but had not really given it much thought. I also cannot hear very well. I am always asking my wife to repeat what she has just said, because I cannot hear well.

I actually do not think I am at death’s door, but who knows? Sargent Major Death can come at any time, place his hand on my shoulder, and whisper in my ear, “Its time to go.” You cannot deny, refute, or delay. It is actually not from him, but a much higher power, in fact the highest power of all, directly from the Creator God! You must obey.

Now, when he places his hand on your shoulder you may look back and think about, or wish you could make one more cast, do one more deal, or drill one more well, but no, there isn’t any time left. I expect I will be glad my children have turned out well! Just Sayin…RJ
I have just come to the realization of what my pro... (show quote)

Bob, I hope you get your problem solved. I have never heard you talk so much of DEATH before. Maybe it might be prudent to talk to a professional. Take care, we depend on all your stories.

Hello Kerry: You are right, and I will throttle back on the topic.

I guess when you feel like you are on first name basis with death, it slips into your conversation more often.

If you were around me physically, you would not be subjected to such!

In person I am different, but what you and all the friends on Fishing Forum, I am presenting thoughts and 'flashes of brain activity' not offered to 'face to face' public. Just Sayin...RJS

I was the one who figured it out. Based on my medical training to be a pharmaceutical salesman back in the 1960s. Now I just have to get one of these young boys or girls to come up with a satisfactory cure. Next, will be hearing aids. Tomorrow is my 88th birthday, if I can make it this far, perhaps I can reach 98!

Post on your 100th birthday. We’ll call it a C-note😁

GM Chief: You will find no one who is more in agreement than me or that.
I firmly believe that one's life is in God's hands! If he has something for you to do, your living will continue regardless of circumstances! I firmly believe that and there are dozens of examples in the Holy Bible that this is a reality.

You might put this in the fame of a terrarium with colonies of ants. If there is any similarity, we had certainly better pay attention to whatever the Creator expects or wants. Just Sayin...RJS

OH I understand Bob, but I was really concerned. Just seemed like it was ramping up. We all have in one way or another had to deal with stuff me included. Give your self credit dealing with it and reaching your age with more years to come. I recognize That I am not able to do many things I once did including at times keeping my balance (which I don't broadcast to family often) and also dealing with age related memory issues as well. At least I still recognize what my car keys are when I find/see them. You have one of the best guides available to help you as you well know, the Bible.

Minere’s disease is a disease that kills the hairs in your ear. The disease usually affects one ear, however, no rare cases it can affect both ears. Those hairs transmit sound into the ear. Once the hairs are dead, hearing is lost. Hearing aids won’t work for the affected ear. There is no known cause or cure.

Can you then get one of those cranial type hearing where it snaps to your skull?

I’ve talked to doctors about cochlear implants but have been told there is nothing that will bring the hearing back to the affected ear
