They might like some nice Striper fillets.

Yeah, Dad and I use to striper fish in San Pablo bay, back in the day… 🐟on

They are, thanks for asking. They’re in good health but they’re in their mid 90’s and getting around has become limited. So I’m the gopher, chief cook and bottle washer. It’s taken a huge load off of them. They prefer to stay in there home versus assisted living at this point. So I’ll help them out for as long as they need me… 🐟on

Sounds like your more than qualified to be a caregiver DD. One of my favorite clients just went into assisted living. He's 78. I had a couple in WI I helped. He was 98. She was 96. She still went to the basement to do laundry. She made incredible cookies and cakes. Always wanted me to take some home. They put him in assisted living even though they could had stayed in their home. Married 75 years. She had to join him later when they had a big enough room for a married couple. Most people are by themselves. He told me he had a good life and was ready to go when God wanted. He said, "all these people are planning this big birthday party for me when I turn 100. I hope I make it until then, I'd hate to ruin the party." It's a great thing you are doing DD.

Great fishing pic btw. We all need a helping hand. You are lucky to still have them. My dad died at 69. I will be 69 next June.

Thanks, Greg. Dad’s always said that he’ll live to be 100. He’s got 5 years to go. If they were to go into assisted living I don’t think they would last very long. But it may be inevitable at some point. I’m no professional like you. I hope to keep them safe, sound and most of all happy as long as possible… 🐟on

Some of you may recall that I had a goal to hike around the lake at a regional park that I’ve been hiking at and I accomplished that goal today. It’s a 315 acre lake and it’s a 9.75 mile loop trail and I did it in 3hrs and 39 minutes. So here’s a few shots along the way… 🐟on

Never doubted you for a minute. Looks an awful lot like the area we were hunting in this week near Colville. Got in a few good hikes, but no where near your new record. Congratulations

Thanks, Russ. It certainly felt good to succeed at my goal. Now I’ve got to come up with another one. I’m always up for a challenge… 🐟on
