What does your gear look like on the other side of the bobber? What do they like to hit?

At the spot I was at they seem to like the AeroJig Hackle or Maribou,1/8 to 1/4 oz in all red,I've tried other color variations with red but all red has been the go to jig

I stopped by the Sultan River conjunction with Skykomish yesterday but didn’t have time to wet a line. Maybe I’ll head back up there in a few days. Lots of spent and decaying Coho on the Sultan shores.

do you fish on the highway side of the river where the the two rivers meet by the boat ramp or do you hike into the other side? I use to fish the far side when the water levels were not high. good spot

Haven’t fished it at all. Was taking my grandson home from Everett college yesterday and saw that spot on the map and thought I’d look at it. I’ll have to go back and give it a try later. Is the time good now or should I wait till later?

now is good not sure when it closes you have to check the regs. also pay attention to selective fishing rules

I used to use the black Aero jig with the pink hackle on the stomach for steelhead. It worked really well. They like orange and will hit just about all the colors. Now I just use beads

So theres only one thing better than seeing your bobber floating down the river when fishing for steelhead,Seeing your bobber go under and a big flash of chrome underneath it when your fishing for steelhead.
Its probably been over 5 years since I've gone out to chase some chrome, and it was a nice surprise to see my bobber go under on my 6th or seventh cast, coincidentally right after I took the first picture. Turned out to be a 28" hen full of eggs.
