Well I had to fill up the car today. I buy my gas at Costco and what they do is see what the local gas stations in the area charge and set their pumps a cent or two lower. Well I don't know where that cheap gas is that some on TV say, because I paid $4.09 99/100 per gallon for a bill of $58.08.
Kerry, I filled up this morning here in Port Aransas, Tx. for 2.89 per gallon. Last month I filled up in Colorado for 4.99 per gallon. I guess it’s what state you live in and how far you are from the refinery’s 😎👍
This morning in north east ohio…Filled the car up this morning and regular was 3.89; filled the truck with diesel at 5.44/gal 2 days ago & today is 5.69 to 5.99..depending on where you go …truck takes 48gallons main tank and another 50 in bed tank…I try to keep them topped off!!!
Drove to Colo. this summer on a fishing trip. Cheapest gas was on reservations at around $4. Still paying it off. Why don’t we produce oil in the states anymore like we used to?

Don't blame it on the oil companies. They are the same companies that had lower prices before Biden and his handlers took control. Blame their policies.
Nice try "anti-Biden Administration guy"..... you can go back to watching your Fox News or Newsmax now.
This gouging by the oil companies is worldwide and most definitely a "wh**ever we can get away with" setting. Proof ??? Check the quarterly profits on whomever you choose..... RECORD PROFITS.
I just completed a nearly month-long trip down to So.Cal., and the Bay Area, to visit family, driving a total of right at 2000 miles (I ALWAYS let them drive as much as possible....they know the absolutely awful freeway system and all 3 of my siblings have always made far more $$ than me) and the pricing was truly all over the place.... from $5.47 in No. Cal. to $7.89 at my older sister's nearby Chevron station in Newport Beach.
"Just "jump in and join us by buying a Tesla or some other electric vehicle"....says my wealthy Sis.... hehehe....."yeah, I"ll get right on that" says my not-at-all-wealthy self.
It's on my "to-do list" the week after I win the lottery !
And those who are still bit***ng about $3.?? gas, can take a flying leap...bit***ng or bragging, never can determine which I am hearing.

you're lucky you don't live in CA. $5.69 per gallon for regular.
Google PBS newshour , Record Profit , remember that's profit ,, in the last 2 months , Saudis 48 billion, Mobil Exxon 18 billion , Now is just in our U.S. no it's worldwide,

Yep, it is being done on purpose. Ready to buy that new battery powered car? Sadly I will be gone before it happens, but my kids and grand kids maybe not. I remember the gas wars, 17 cents a gallon and you had someone filling your tank, checking your oil and washing your wind shield!

California has a lot of taxes, I don’t know about other states, but, New Mexico has a bunch too. As I posted on another thread taxes and greed cost us a lot of money. OPEC controls the amount of oil produced affecting prices.
Agree 💯%....no U.S. administration has EVER had much control over OPEC, so please stop with the blame game, already.
I trust your memory is good enough to remember 1974, right ? I do believe (know !) that was under the Republicans watch, so assigning blame to other than OPEC is just blowing smoke.
"You're entitled to your own opinion, but never to your own 'facts' "..... hehehe.

of course if we would ever become net producer of oil then we would not have to go hat in hand and ask them to produce more, and if Canada had a pipeline for them to pump and sell their oil on the global market that might help with the global price since opec would have more competition oh and another wild thought if we fast tracked bringing more refineries on line and did all we could do to produce more oil and natural gas instead of trying to shut it down just maybe we would have more control over the price of gas...just a thought
