I'm brand new to this forum so treat me gently. LOL!!! Seriously I'm from Daytona Beach, Fl and have been primarily fishing the north central coast of Florida since I was a kid and offshore mostly out of Ponce Inlet. A lot has changed since I started fishing with my dad in the '40s mostly that the fishing has become more difficult due to fishing pressure, even offshore. I have 3 boats, a 10' dinghy for shallow creeks, a 23' Slickcraft cuddy cabin OB for inlet and near shore and a 48' Ocean SS sportfisherman for offshore trips which I recently purchased and brought down from Cape May, NJ. And although an "old timer" I'm always open to new ways and spots to fish. So I'll be checking in periodically and looking forward to being a contributing member of the forum.
Thanks, I appreciate the quick salutation!

Welcome Andy, think youโll find this a fun and informative site. You must be a great guy, had a high school wood shop teacher with the same name who always gave me passes to get out of โstudy hallโ so I could work in the shop.

Yes Brach is a great name, even better when you add "hold" to it; Brachhold is my last name with only a handful of us in the US. I didn't want to use my full name on the forum.

Welcome aboard Andy. I enjoy the off shore fishing the best when the wind cooperates.

The boat is currently named "Plumbers Paradise" as the boat was owned by a man that had a plumbing business. I'm going to rename her "Sunbandit" which was the name on my first big fisherman, a 40' Chrisovitch which I took to the Dominican Republic for guests at my hotel to charter. I'm going to put a graphic of an island with several palm trees and a patch of blue ocean with Sunbandit across the graphic. It's a modification of the homepage graphic I had created for my website, Samana Online, promoting tourism in the country a number of years ago.
