Saw the video on YouTube, they are lucky nobody knocked them out, what losers!!
Glad they were caught! Should be banned from all tournaments from Joe on and prosecuted.

Why? They all cheat......just haven't been caught
Not everyone cheats. I've fished a lot of years and a lot of tournaments. Inshore and off shore. Never once did any one I fished with do anything close to cheating. Yes, I have seen it. I know someone who broke a Makos back in 3 places and then stretched it to make the minimum length. I would have turned him in if he had placed. Stealing a win is not a victory in my book but that is who I am.
I was there watching it I’m from cleveland didn’t have a whole lot of happy campers after that stunt really lucky they made it out with out an old fashion butt kicking been doing this for years and apparently went to well to many times on that one ban them

I did read that and the first thing that came to mind was why not sweep all the fish with a metal detector but then I concluded those cheats would just stuff rocks down their throats instead of rocks wonder if you felt the fish bellies if you could feel the rocks, or weights and only cut open the ones that were suspicious. My second thought was they should list their names addresses and pictures along with all the winnings they have ever had in past tournaments and post it online lot to be said about shameing and shunning

I think both methods are worthwhile. And I like the posting idea.

Just getting ready to say the same thing DC. Good size rounded river rocks would go un detected. Wonder if holding by the belly would they be detectable.
Not sure what the process is in these tournament, but why not clean them in the presents of an official right after weighing?
Shame people are so money hungry. Simple solution ALL fish are to be gutted or use a small hand held metal detector. There fixed.

Could be prevented by using x-Ray (actually quick-look fluoroscopy) to examine catches in big-money tournaments.
You are right take everything they got for outdoor use , take hunting license too, and all of their hunting weapons too. they may be poachers too.
Said they have won multiple tournaments... im sure this happens alot. If only I could figure out how to make my fish look longer for pictures 🤔
That makes my teeth hurt just looking at it.
