After you get a decent pair of waders, look for a good pair of insulated leggings and a good pair of wool socks to insulate your feet and legs. Another place to check is eBay for the waders, my wife got hers there as well as her socks and leggings.

If you want some room for insulated socks, yes! If they are too tight, the cold will radiate through to your feet, the looser fit helps the warm air circulate and keep your feet warm.

Yes, get some good heavy wool socks. Grundens makes leggings that my wife loves, but they are not super heavy. Look on eBay for fleece leggings, I think that's what I bought her.

And all of you heed this warning, especially you youngins. Prolonged exposure to that cold water is NOT a good thing. Take it from someone who is dealing with issues caused by that very thing when I was young. I was a USCG Rescue Swimmer and I never thought about walking into cold water in uninsulated waders after downed ducks when I was a kid.

Watching the interplay between Singer and Plum, either there is some serious back story issues (which none of us needs to care about) or someone has a real thin skin. This kind of bs should be left to the school yard. Too much good stuff to view without having to be distracted by a cat fight. As an old salt used to say, just sayin!

Google Frog Togs. They make waist high waders that can fit in sneakers or wading boots

Wear Same size
I have breathable Simms and Frog Toggs
Also neoprene use when temperatures really drops

Some have attached wading belts others loops to use one
Be sure to have and be safe
If you trip fall in water the belt keeps water from filling waders allows you to get out of water

Both with pockets on chest
Some are inside
Keep Phone license keys in one other misc

Reinforced knees big for me
breathable dry faster and easier to slide off and on
I wear base liners under both

I have separate wading shoes because the waders with boots are really heavy
My boots have plastic eye hooks because I surf fish & Razor clam dig off the Washington coast in salt water
No felt can us studs if slippery rocks

I do not get youth size the quality seems less and last only one season of use
Thankfully companies make for women
This time of year I find the smaller size on sale

Rinse after use In salt or dirty water hang to dry before storing
I roll mine and keep in a clear plastic tub with fishing gear

Hopefully this helps PM is more questions

It’s getting cold in Connecticut! I fish in my shorts but last night I could no longer feel my feet or walk back to my car.

Any advice on good deals for waders for a woman my size (5’3 109 lbs) size 7 foot in women’s or size 6 in kids

Big respect for a petite woman who surfcasts, go get β€˜em Sam!

Surfcasters often wade to extend their range, day or night.

I've looked for them before as surfcasting for stripers in November is a chilly undertaking. I've done it with plastic bags wrapped around my feet but that does NOT keep out the cold. Got a good 32 incher that day tho!!!
