Caught 5 dragging crawler harnesses in 20 to 25 foot of water and kept 3 which is the limit in NJ. 23,21 and 20 inches, thick as pigs. Blaine took the big one at 26” and lost a really good one boat side. Pretty productive day. Learned a new technique and got damn near 4 pounds of prime fillets out of the 3 I kept.

Yeah Grizz, that one that Blaine got was 26” and 6.7#. He lost a bigger one boat side.

Nice fish BK. As a kid in the 50's, used to fish Little Swartwood to the north. My dad and I would put our rowboat in the stream that connects the two lakes and work our way into the smaller Swartswood. Excellent bass and crappie. Caught my first 6 pounder at 12 using large shiners that we netted in a small pond near our home. I loved that lake and because of that, we never fished the Big lake. Glad you had a successful day and new techniques learned.
