Fished with my buddy from the shop today. I’ve never targeted walleyes but Blaine is an old master. Learned something new today and it paid off pretty well. Caught 5 dragging crawler harnesses in 20 to 25 foot of water and kept 3 which is the limit in NJ. 23,21 and 20 inches, thick as pigs. Blaine took the big one at 26” and lost a really good one boat side. Pretty productive day. Learned a new technique and got damn near 4 pounds of prime fillets out of the 3 I kept.

Thanks Fred, Blaine is a wealth of knowledge for multi species. He’s a good teacher and fun person in and out of the boat. To anyone that says walleye don’t fight well, they’re wrong.

Thanks OJ, those walleyes live in a really clean lake and are thick with tasty white meat. Not even a hint of red on their lateral line. I’ve eaten them out of the Delaware river and they taste like mud.

Thank you Whitey, I actually prefer gills and craps but they’re definitely my second best tasting for freshwater fish.
