We dug the red potatoes today before it got to hot. The old Farmall 140 did great. Was looking for a potato plow. Cheapest was 2500.00. A use one was 1500.00 but I saw a homemade one for 600.00 after looking closer I saw I had all the parts. So I made one and it works very good.we ended up with 5 bushel which was pretty good considering we didn’t get enough rain

Those taters look exceptional troy and great improvisation on your plow.

Nice harvest! I see some mashed potatoes (Irish style "champ), maybe some Shepard pie, baked, French? The list is endless.

I took a subsoiler changed point to a middle buster. I can almost plow a canal with it. Very solid hook up. Got a few ears of sweet corn!
Tight lines.

Nicely done sir!

My hats off to you for simply studying the build and then doing it yourself, must have been a nice feeling when it worked so well

We definitely need more of this simple, smart and effective use of ones brain these days!

I love red potatoes. They make great potato salad because they taste great hold together after cooking without turning to mush. I grew up with red potatoes. My dad planted Red Pontiac.

We always grew a large garden. I learned gardening by working there. We had corn, peas, cucumbers, squash, eggplant, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, okra, peanuts, strawberries, apples, blueberries, butter beans, turnip and mustard greens. Hot and sweet peppers.
We grew a lot of what we ate. Every year we froze food for the winter months. I spent a lot of time when I wasn’t in school working in the garden. Growing up I don’t remember ever seeing vegetables in a can. Usually we would get them from the garden or freezer.
Tight lines and thanks for the memories!
