You must understand that the Gheenoe overturned sending two of us into the water. I got a rough estimation of the location of the mishap and once tried to locate the gear with good Garmin and Hummingbird finders--to no avail. Now have two #14 weighted treble hooks I'm going to try once the wind lets up here in Ocala
Good luck. Hope you find em and they're still OK.

I have seen numerous adds for Kastking saltwater spinning reels. They sound good. Maybe to good for the price. Has anyone purchased one. If so what is your opinion of it. Please no theoretical opinions. I am looking for hands on opinions. Thanks. I want to know if they are trash, or just temporarily low priced to get into the market, like Lew's used to be.
My personal experience is they worked fine for a while. Then the drag was completely gone. Went online to research how to fix it and found many others with the same problem. Actually, watched a video that lasted about 15 min and the guy seemed very knowledgeable and he never did get it fixed. Just my opinion.

I brought their bait runner and fish for carp and catfish, and after one year the gears were strip out. I would never buy another one. Also brought their fillet knife and a soft tackle bag, within 3 months the zippers broke on the bag and the knife is so-so. I got sucker in on some reviews, as the saying goes you get what you paid for, you would think after 70 years I would learn.
I have tried their reels, rods and Tackle bags. I fish Bass tournaments and walleye tournaments. They are substandard for MANY reasons. Why do you think they are so cheap? Don't be naive Everyone knows you get what you pay for. If you want less expensive rods and reels with good reliability they are available from all the well-known brands Berkely, Diawa, Okuma and all the Bass Pro and Cabelas products. Don't waste your time and money.

You might do well to take along a strong bar or round magnet.
