So thanks to the weather and a couple small issues with my boat I've managed to get some time into my bed frame build.De-barking,sanding,mortise and tenon, even fashioned some boxspring support brackets out of a boat trailer winch tower.started applying a clear coat.Still have some round cross bars and pickets to add to finish head and foot boards but its starting to look like a bed frame

Beautiful SA. Built to last. Hope all of us pass down interest in a skill. Anything at all. May we not forget how to provide for ourselves.

No RJS,I'm not that large, 6'-4" tall and 220 lbs, and its built for queen size mattress, but to get the natural log style and mortise and tenon construction anything smaller would seem kinda spindly and week, although yes I do like things stout.lol

Looks really good. It reminds me of a condo type room we had at Yellowstone one year in the park. It was all made of Juniper and the entire room and bathroom was Juniper. It reminded me of the Central Oregon and other parts of Western US that has a lot of Juniper.

Pretty sure it was in Canyon Village. I cooked Breakfast on the Little Trailer we had Rafts for fishing and bikes on. The neighbors there were Eyeballing the breakfast I was making for family. At that time it was about 25 bucks for something to drink and pre packaged junk food at the main lodge area. Real food is served there if you know where to go but I am always prepared with food and cooking gear.

Looks really GOOD Salmon Addict.

Β‘No, there ain't; for REAL! (I couldn't help but remembering a bed I was using for about 1/2 a year, in a rented room, above "a Downtown Bar" (actually, it was in the "Warehouse District"); well... Similar dimensions, as far as "Queen Sized" goes. It was built nowhere near as well as that one... Yeah, one corner of it (box-spring) ended up on the floor, one night!!

Nice job. Built to last. Will you make the rest of the furniture? Nice to pass down to someone who would take care of it knowing it was hand made by you
