What machine did you get? Any accessories you like-dont like?

I own 2 Pioneer pro 500's by Bounty hunter, they have great sensitivity and discriminating features !
You can cover a lot of ground without wasting much time digging trash. This is important when hunting the curb area around a quick stop type gas station !

Looks like a really nice pocket watch in left hand upper of smaller metal box. If you haven't tried to wind it please be careful if you decide to. Do NOT wind it tightly, do not force it, if does want to turn, and your curiosity overtakes ya, I would recommend an experienced older jeweler.
God did indeed bless America, now let's do our part.

I found that back in 1975 when I first started, wish I had never stopped. It runs but needs a good cleaning, hands and crystal.

You've had a productive 11 yrs! I've found two rings. My first ring was a toe ring I found in TX. It's the thinnest silver I've ever seen! The second is a size 11 titanium found in OK. And yesterday I found my first silver coin!

Is that a Morgen silver dollar I see there?

Anybody on here that metal detects? I've just started about 5 months ago here in Northern AL. I have an Ace 400 and am always trying to get better with it. Wife n I keep a jar with the coins I've found. We only need to find 40000 more pennies and it'll pay for itself lol!
Maybe we can keep this thread active by posting our best find, weirdest find, most unlikely find etc.
My weirdest find hands down is a women's flat bottom shoe in a ball park dirt floor dugout. It was about 3 inches deep so it had to be there for a while.

Are you actively detecting? I make it out every other day or so. 6 pennies today! Only two are zinc. Sooo much aluminum out there. Gonna need a bucket for recycling!

I have several Garrett detectors too. Purchased some at Christmas for my children and it gives me an excuse to hang out with them and have fun family time together. I’ve been accused of doing that to be with my grandchildren. Imagine that!!

Had a few hrs to fill yesterday while car was being tuned up. Went to veterans memorial in Florence for some swing n ping fishing. My first time there. Beautiful memorial and exceptional clean. Quite large as well.
I think it had at one point in history been a junk yard of sorts. There was sooo much iron trash. I was able to find 74 cents and half a motorcycle engine. The big find was a solid silver tone that took 45 minutes to realize it wasn't silver! Rusted iron rod ( 1/4 inch?) Reflects like silver. Now I know.
Rain in forecast for 3 days so no dirt fishing for a week.
We signed on property so my time is gonna be spent waiting for return calls and emails with bids. But the process has begun.
