That picture reminds me of my Wife’s first LM last year. It left the water about 40’ away and I got a “Oooh, it’s a jumper!” comment out of her.
The mystery was gone, but it was game on! 6.27# on a chunk of crawler, below a slip bobber.

Awesome thought Plum, we're looking for at least one like that every trip out. I believe you appreciate the serenity a lot more, when it's interrupted by a pure Adrenaline rush. It's the best of both worlds !

Headed out to the lake right now with Old Jim. I sure hope he catches one like that today.

Looks like our steelhead here in Idaho. They hit hard, come out of the water like that, and spin like an alligator. Pretty tough to keep em on a barbless hook but lots of fun trying.

Good one, Plumbob and yes, Jar - I held my breath a little just looking at the picture! I’m working from home today and counting the minutes till this part is over so I can get to the pond. It’s been a while since I had a jumper. Maybe today’s the day!
Wishing that for all of you - cheers!

That’s the kind of thing that gets you out of bed in the morning. One like that makes the whole day

It sure does Slim. I recall my first jumper after getting serious about fishing. I lost him because i didn't know what to do.

Sat there with my chin in my lap in total awe of watching what must have been a 24" trout completely break water.

Yep i was hooked even though he wasn't.

But it made you go back and try to hook him again. Had some that wanted to play this morning and got me fired up for more. That’s what it’s all about
