You are probably right Whitey, just that is where my mind went after reading Flyguy's post.

It is a beautiful sight when they break water and the line is still tight when they take off again.

Yes it is plum kind of like when the tail slaps back-and-forth like he's cleaning off home plate 🤪

Only lost one rod to date Troy when a skate took off under my yak. SNAP !!!! Not a ear to ear smile on that one.

I know Plum one got me a few years ago I was fishing close to Seaview fishing pier and my ugly stick snapped I took it to my local tackle shop and they replaced it free of charge
