Ya know, "the odd part about it", is; that it sure didn't "scare me out of" further "risky behavior"... Sure didn't "keep me from climbing"; as, since then, I've spent A LOT of time "aloft", in trees, on scaffolding against the insides of tanks of "a Benzene Tanker"; in the bucket of a bucket-truck (for tree-trimming/(+/or removal), also, I climbed one helluva lotta rigging on trawlers... I don't "do ladders".

¿"Whosoever liveth and believeth in ME, shall never die."?... All the same; I HAVE (according to a handful of "Medical Professionals" AND Firemen) been literally dead, TWICE! ... They say: "Third time's the charm." ... I've finally gotten to the point, to where I'm no longer "trying to rush it"; in that, I've at LEAST managed (with the help of our Creator) to remain 100% sober, for a good many years, now.

¡¡Glad for you, SALMON ADDICT!!... I'm still sober and "not all upset about that fact"; since Pearl Harbor Day, of 2009 (¿Maybe 2008?) ... Hell, I'm not 100% sure, without ✓✓ing somewhere... Not even sure WHERE... The only day that "counts", as "they say " = TODAY.

That's right... I had a (kind of a) Stepson, who lived in Snohomish, years ago... He also, was "a friend of Bill's", but, I haven't really communicated with him, since shortly after his Mom "broke on through to the other side"... I reckon that's over 15 years ago, now...

I do appreciate the thought and offer,the nice thing is since becoming a friend of Bill's again(4th time)I've found my laundry isn't so dirty anymore,and I've increased my time on the water which really improves my attitude 😉

Yeah, Roger that, on the "not so dirty laundry"!!! I'm not even certain anymore; how many times I've "gone back out" (¿For a SWIM?) ... But, it's at least as many as you... Possibly 1 or 2 more instances of: "Let's have some"... But, I REALLY DO THINK that I've had way more than "my share" of all that... Figure I'd better "leave some for everybody else"...

Theres a phrase I've heard around here that rings true for me- I know I have another D unk in me,I don't know if I have another recovery. It is nice to hear from another of Bill's friends out here on the stage.

I've been sober since July 6 1984, SA. It can be done. The first few years were rough, with a couple slips along the way. But persevering is the only reason I'm alive today, so keep at it! From another Friend of Bill. Fred.
