If you want to fish those lakes hire a guide. Seriously, all equipment provided you just show up. Take a camera phone and have fun.

If you seriously wish to catch fish, then head to the west. Check out local bait shops and try your luck.

At the very least have a target species in mind.....Bass, Crappie, Catfish. Every specie requires a different technique.

At the very least, take worms and a bobber. Pack a nice picnic lunch and bring wine.

Good Luck,

BD

Thanks BD. Great advice. Fishing is our, “date night.” It’s why catching fish is just an, “added bonus.” We’re from Nola, though. Food and drink are always involved.

Well Thank You L222 and may I add......
I have never heard anything as sweet as the accent of a the women from NOLA. I can hear you speak "Lanyap" and it is music to my ears. I wish you much success in your endeavors with your "Hubby".

Never forget Texas has your back Darlin'. Thank you for stopping by the stage. Let us know how it goes.

Blue Skies Always,

Thank you. I didn’t notice the vernacular. I appreciate you pointing it out, though. Should I repost?

I'm not sure if you were responding to my post L, but that was my feeble attempt at a compliment. Certainly not a criticism. There are thousands of posts and you can likely call them all up and do some research if you want to. I defy you to find another on here that has the word "lagniappe" in it. And even spelled correctly. What a pleasant surprise. Thank you.

I didn’t take offense at all. My thank you was genuine. I do a lot of group chats with people from the UK. Talk about vernacular screwing up a conversation. Lol. I need all the help I can get. It was much appreciated.
