First open water fishing of the year for me. Went on down to the Rock River for three hours to see if things were starting to happen. Well YES was the answer, Caught 21 All small males. Water was very low and we had to work for keepers, couldn't manage three limits but 12 made it. Best of all it was a beautiful day in the 40's and the skunk stayed in his hole.

You have just proven once again that fish feed regularly, just not at human's breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Yes, often fishermen have to tolerate wind, waves, and cold temperatures! No rules about everything having to be perfect. Good Job, wish I had been with you! Just Sayin...RJS

One fish came one a white floating Jig on a drop shot. Water was so low we ran fixed floats on a single hook one split shot. Medimunm fat heads hooked in the back.Trick was to get the float to lay on it's side for the drift and when the "Stem Stood Up" FISH ON... very light bite. Kind of a weird set-up but it worked.

Why thank you Mr. Samples. Anytime you feel like a trip to Wisconsin It would be a pleasure. I spent a little time working the oil field in my youth.
