If you think it’s suspicious, click on the email title. In your case it would be Norton. It will bring you to another screen that shows the true email address. I get them all the time. Once I determine it’s bogus I block it. On another note, when you see a letter in your mail from a bank, don’t just throw it away. I opened one recently thanking me for applying for a new card and it would be arriving in a week. Called the number and low and behold. Some a-hole tried to open an account in my name. It was stopped and reported.

Four was expecting my statement from T-Mobile I I would have deleted with out clicking. I talked to T-Mobile n told them about it n got any contact with then straightened out. Wife got one a couple months ago. Want to know if she'd applied for a card in Florida. Always something brother πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thanks for the warning, Griz. My bank moniters very well, let me know imediately. If something wrong has gone through they get it back. Just a hassle......98cents? What were they thinking?

Just testing the water maybe Marion. Many people don't check out small amounts πŸ˜•

I get many of those. I just delete them and none of those "charges" ever show up on my credit card.

Thanks Griz. This is, precisely, why I use only cash and stopped using credit cards years ago. I don’t need to fly or book a motel room anywhere so I don’t need the stuffπŸ‘. If I order things on line we have a debit card. I put the exact amount in the bank to cover the order and nothing else goes in until I feel like ordering something again and all of those problems stopped for us. When someone tries to get a nickel and it’s declined they don’t continue on into the big numbers. That’s worked for 15 years for us so I’m guessing I’ll keep doing that.

I got this email at 10:25 am. Thinking it may be from T-Mobile because I was expecting a print out I pulled it up. I came up with what appeared to be official Norton LifeLock. It said $299.00 had been changed to my debit card to renew for another 2yrs. I've never had life lock so thinking someone may be using my card to pay for their security. How ironic would that be. Call this # if I wanted to cancel. I did it came up Pikesville MD. Near Baltimore MD. # was unavailable. Called credit union cancelled debit card n called Capital one to check. Lady at Capitol one said if you get n email like that make sure your full name is on it. Most phishing only has your email address. Be careful Y'all. Hackers need to be hacked n not electronically πŸ‘

Yeah, I got a phone call and the ID came up STATE OF NEW JERSEY. Don't answer phone unless I know who's calling but I just sent the state some paperwork about the Senior Tax Freeze. She said she was calling to give me medical information but needed my SS# in order to release info due to HIPAA laws. I just said "I don't need you to give me medical information, I do my own research" and hung up. My friend later that day said a lot of people got that scam call lately. I got one from a bank too. Just call the bank directly and ask. Lazy no gooders trying to steal, not work.
