If you ever make it to the Viet Nam wall in D.C., there is a book there that list all of our lost brothers. They are listed by states. Found some of my high school friends in that book. Sad day.

Have not been able to make my self go there. I could go to Fort Bliss where my father and mother are buried, but just can't go to the Wall. I have lived with in 30 miles of it for 20 years and just can't.
My Dad was a Navy Cross winner from Pearl, he was on the Okie, and later in WWII also got the Navy Marine medal on the Nevada also. The 2 highest you can get in the Navy below the Congressional Medal of Honor. Almost always to those that died getting them. He beat the odds twice.

I was actually staying in Baltimore and took the train down and caught a subway to D.C. Popped up right at the Washington memorial which was right about in the middle of everything. Lincoln Memorial and The Wall to the left and White house to the right. Museum and Pentagon in the middle. No parking problem. Well worth it Plumb, go for it now and check it off your bucket list.

Thanks again OBG, sounds like a spring thing to do. That walking around in the cold is just not for me.

If you go to the Vietnam wall make sure you bring somebody with you. It is a very emotional experience for those of us who were there. Troops are listed in chronological order of deaths and it doesn't take long to find your time in country. I'm tearing up right now just recalling my visit the day after it opened. My son was with me.

Aud I'm the same way. I know a couple that didn't walk off the plane. Part of me wants to go. The other part doesn't want to know how many gave all. That way I can go on believing they got back safe. 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
