Ft i don't mean this is a wrong way but why get tested? If you are not feeling well wouldn't you stay clear of folks anyway? Or is there a med out there if you test positive.

My question comes from seeing lines of cars and people waiting for hours on end just to get tested. I can understand getting tested if there is a good reason like needing the test to get back to work or to get a medical procedure done.

But the folks that just want to see if they are positive i can not grasp that one. Isn't distancing better than waiting in line?

You need a good point Bob. I have tested multiple times. The longest it ever took me to complete the test was 30 minutes. Today was 15, and it was 2,2 miles by car. There are some things I can do to minimize the disease which I wouldn't ordinarily do. Isolating in one room to give my wife freedom to move around as needed would be one. My daughter is confining herself to her bedroom, including still working from home. We all test prior to gathering for the holidays. That's how my younger daughter got excluded from New Years. She and her daughter both came in positive. I tested today because older daughter was here for dinner Sunday and started with a sore throat Monday. She has two kids that need to get to school. The whole testing thing gives me the freedom to move around a little better. I wear my mask like I carry my Glock , every day everyshere. I want the freedom to move around, the testing gives me the means to protect myself and everyone around me.
BYE Delaware has done an excellent job of having testing available. I even saw a car with 3 people in it pulling into the parking space behind me, with MD plates. Thought that was funny.

Rite-Aid, CVS and Walgreens offer drive through testing by appointment. Is that an option everywhere, or just in NYS?

Actually Walgreens has at home test kits for sale if you can find them in stock. Some other pharmacies do as well. Coming back to my earlier post I guess the reasons for my tests have been to be sure about family gatherings and giving me the knowledge to let me move around helping family safely.

The local Walgreens in this area sells the at home test kits. The hard part is catching them when they have stock. Delaware has a very good program of testing sites. Sign-up on line and go in at a specific time

Ok this is my third try typing thus. I hit back before send. Walgreens in our area has been selling at home instant kits when you can find them in stock. Delaware has a good testing program, find the days locations on line and register for appointment time. Time for mine today was less than 15 minutes and other than staff I was around a total of 10 people, and they were at a distance.

G-mornin knuckleheads. 25 now. Maybe 50 later. Tired and sore today. I was hoping to reduce this pain before I remove the catheter and see the doc tomorrow.

A man, his wife and MIL went on safari in Africa. The first night of their adventure, the wife woke up in the middle of the night to find her mother gone. She woke up her husband in a panic.

The husband grabbed his rifle and went out with his wife to search. They heard a rustling in the bushes and found the MIL backed up to a tree by a large lion.

"Oh my God, the wife said. What are we going to do? Nothing, replied the husband, the lion got himself into this mess, he can get himself out."

Have a good one knuckleheads.
