Very cool. I reunited with a daughter last July that didn't talk to me for years after a divorce. She's 31 but still my little girl.
That’s awesome, I’m so happy for you. Even though I’ve been through two divorces my whole family is still united. Nothing worse than a family feud. It can really tear things apart…

Good morning everyone from the PNW. Started out 44 going to 55 and getting a couple of hours break in the rain. Starting last Friday I was feeling some really slight cold type symptoms. A tickle in my throat, not sore. A cough, now and then. And just a little congestion. As I continued to determine if this was a developing cold or possibly Covid I decided that because I’m supposed to go to California next week for one of my granddaughters 13th birthday that I should take the guess work out of it and get tested. So I went to urgent care on Monday and got the results back this morning………….NEGATIVE!!!!!! So everything is back on schedule…🐟on

I just went and tested. Should have my results tomorrow. Same thing, tickle in my throat. But my daughter just tested positive. Well see

Ft i don't mean this is a wrong way but why get tested? If you are not feeling well wouldn't you stay clear of folks anyway? Or is there a med out there if you test positive.
My question comes from seeing lines of cars and people waiting for hours on end just to get tested. I can understand getting tested if there is a good reason like needing the test to get back to work or to get a medical procedure done.
But the folks that just want to see if they are positive i can not grasp that one. Isn't distancing better than waiting in line?

Yeah, it’s a good thing that you got tested knowing that you were exposed. As far as I know I wasn’t exposed. But felt I should get tested just to be safe…😜on

Hey, Plum I’ve got to speak up here in my defense. I feel exactly the way as you as far as why are all you people standing in these lines. If you have a legitimate excuse that’s fine, otherwise stay home and follow the guidelines. In my case I’m going down to see my folks and grandkids so I need a clean bill of health…🐟on

DD, you did exactly what my nephew did before coming over for Christmas and that is admirable on your end. They weren't feeling bad or anything just didn't want to bring anything with them. The Juice and I are more into distancing than waiting in lines.
I just wonder when i see these lines how many people have nothing to do but get tested for no reason than being a statistic.
Part of my question is also coming from soon to be aggravation. The Juice needs to get a physical and a procedure afterwards to have a blood clot filter removed from her previous surgeries.
She needs a Covid test for each visit before anything happens. The thought of waiting is turning the few gray hairs white knowing people are in line for no reason other than just to see if they are positive.

Yeah, if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m going to my granddaughters birthday I won’t have gone and got tested. There’s nothing that can be done if you test positive anyway. You might want to check into getting the wife tested at a urgent care center. My whole ordeal only took an hour…🐟on

Rite-Aid, CVS and Walgreens offer drive through testing by appointment. Is that an option everywhere, or just in NYS?

CVS isn't doing it here any more. At least not the one in my town.

Here either. I’m thinking they ran out of test kits…🐟

The state's giving out rapid tests, 1 per household. What the He!! good is that? They contain 2 tests but the same person is supposed to take both,1 day apart. What about anybody else living there??? DUUUUUH

No DD, she has to get tested before the procedure at the hospital where the procedure will be. Their rules and that way the results go direct and not loss in the mail.
As for her physical before the procedure Walgreens will do for that Covid test.
