The neighbor across the street from me sent a couple photos of an albino doe that had just passed through my yard, heading W through the neighborhood.
I will put the trail cam back out to see if she sticks around.

OJ I have one hanging on the wall. It was a snap shot. Many times I wish I wouldn't have taken the shot but I know someone would have.

They are protected here, unless they have any brown, then not true albinos, but are piebald and legal to hunt.
I hope to see this one in person.

I understand you need a night scope to see them. But since we don't have much snow here in Texas, there's not problem with normal scopes. I guess that is why they are so scarce, they are all in some one's deep freeze. Just Sayin...RJS

She would blend in very well with the snow, but will be obvious once it melts. I hope she stays safe and sticks around.

That’s awesome and really rare. I’ve hunted my entire life. Guided hunters for 18 years in Wyoming and I’ve spent a whole lot of time in the wild outdoors. I’ve seen two albino animals in my entire life. One buck antelope in Wyoming and one doe mule deer in Wyoming. It’s more common with antelope but an albino deer is really rare to see. Thanks for sharing the pictures. 👍

Some states are restricted. The section I worked in with the county had several albinos n a few piebalds. One day I was up one mtn Rd a saw a pair of albino fawns. Never told anyone where I saw them. One other time I saw one in a field so I stopped the truck. Decided I'd see how close I could get to it. I walked slow n talked to it. Got within 20yards before it walked off. I'd never shoot another. Heard n old Indian superstition about shooting n albino being bad luck. Turned out it wasn't I took one or more deer every yr for a long time. 👍 Saw one albino pheasant

I’ve never seen a true albino whitetail but have seen a few piebalds. You witnessed something pretty special.

I’ve only seen a few piebald deer, never one pure white.

OJ they are a beautiful animal. Till you get close enough to see their pink eyes you can't appreciate just how beautiful they are. That's when I really felt bad about taking the shot. I know if it wasn't me one of the outlaws in that area would have shot her. The two fawns we're at the top of the Mtn. Communication tower there n a restricted government area. We had to make sure the road stayed clear. It was thick up there. Hope you get to see her👍👍 taxidermist got her nose a little to pink.

I had an aunt who told me she had seen one. I was about 12 yrs now old. I thought she was making it up to keep me entertained. She lived in a small town.

Don't care for deer in my yard but that one is beautiful. We had an albino raccoon hanging around awhile and also an albino opossum when I first moved in. Neighbor said the opossum family used to hang from their tails in my cherry tree out back.
