My Daughter Sherri had to take her 19 year old Australian Shepard on that final trip to the vet this morning. She has been failing rapidly since Christmas. We are all going to miss Molly dearly.
Have any of you had a pet that was particularly hard to say goodbye to?

Hi Marion I saw this some time ago. Touched me. I found it n now I'll share it.

Yes. I’ve had many. My heart goes out to your daughter. That’s always a hard thing.😔

Yes, indeed...I am truly sorry for your families loss. A/S are a wonderful breed. Smart and energetic. Hard to replace that kind of personality. I wish you all well.

Losing any pet after being together for a long time is almost like losing a family member. Very sorry for your loss. I was helped by getting a new pet.

I lost my Oreck just before Christmas in 06 and my hubby in Feb 07. Needed a new focus. Got my little Willow in March. Just what I needed. My daughter Sherri is shopping for a new pup now.

The 15 year Chihuahua I now have is going to be my last I am 84 and don't think I would want to leave a pet for someone else to take care of
