That birds nest looks like Fred’s or Santa’s beard. I prefer BC if at all possible. I use spinning open type for trout and sm mouth ( lighter rods)

Birds nest or beards suck for sure but really practice will get most people past them. Like Ivey said it will happen every once in awhile from something like that but practice will reduce constantly bird nesting. Once you have BC you have way more control of fish and casts I think.

No school today, too cold? I was like ? I don’t remember getting any days off just cause it’s cold. So I just went out to the truck to get a cigar I left in it. Sweatpants and T-shirt just be a sec, well not as tough as I thought I once was…-10 with good wind blowin feels like -31 so yeah I felt it…..looks like fishing March/April?..

Yes, I thought this post was about the 'cold' but the following get into buying tackle, so I am totally confused as to direction. I was teaching school early in m career and turned a school bus over in a blizzard that filled up the road with snow and was almost blinding for me to be able to see the road. Just Sayin...RJS

We used to live in the mountains here in Southern California and got caught in a white out taking the kids to school, couldn’t see the road ahead of us.

In other words it’s too cold to do much more than go to a store that is heated and get some cool gear. Were jackets sold out?

Or just stay warm awhile until you thaw out. Freezer burned food is just crab bait. Frostbite is not bait
