Flyguy, it was hit by a semi. The driver never even stopped to check his truck. Must have been worried about a ticket or something anyway.

We get several hit by log trucks here where I live in Idaho. I’ve never seen one hit as big as this one but log truck drivers are, actually, trained how to hit them. The trucks all have huge grill guards and they hammer the throttle vs hit the breaks. They kill them pretty fast and, interestingly enough, there’s not a major loss of meat in most cases. It’s nice the authorities allow us to salvage like they do here. Otherwise there would be a massive waste of animal lives and food for those who need it. In Oregon you’re required to have a permit, which is now free, BEFORE you can touch the animal. Not many people want rotten meat like that. Authorities here in Idaho understand the importance of caring for the meat quickly.

Jeremy, it say’s it’s a Mk2 knife & tool sharpener. Model WSKTS2. I was going to buy one, but never got it done. I tried it out on a couple of kitchen knives. There were already fairly sharp, but they took a good edge and I’m pretty excited to bring in my hunting knives to give them a edge. It’s supposed to sharpen knives, scissors and yard tools, like mower blades and axes.

I have two of those. One in the kitchen and one in my meat processing shop. They work great👍

Wrong! But we see what your intent is here. The topic is about doing something nice for someone and they show their appreciation for it. You can google and yack all you want but you’re wrong about most of what you post. I live in Idaho and I’ve picked up three road killed deer and a road killed elk. Saw them happen. I called the game and fish Officer in my area and he just told me to go ahead and grab em and thanks for letting him know. I’ve not applied for, received, or even HAD to get a permit of any kind for any of them. I processed the meat and gave it to people who needed it. That’s the way it works in Idaho. Same thing in Montana. My daughter hit a deer on her way home to Kalispell and she contacted authorities. They asked the usual questions and then wondered if she knew anyone who could come get the meat before it went to waste. They came out, looked at the carcass and told her she could call her friends to come get it. They tagged the deer and left. Her friends showed up shortly after and salvaged the deer. No permit issued. In Wyoming you have to get an interstate game tag for road kill if you want to have it processed at a meat processing facility. If not you contact game and fish and they will meet you at the kill site to verify it’s a road kill. No permit required just confirmation it wasn’t poached. The internet really isn’t solid facts like Facebook or twitter🥴

All I saw was wrong . So as I did for you. Prove where I’m wrong . I have a life. I don’t spend all my free time preying on people here.

Yeah and dork #1 you called them. Do you not see where your the one that is wrong once again. The State Police or Fish and Game you contacted record all the information. You know how silly you look? We’ll probably not. A pathological liar never does.

There is most definitely a process. I know you won’t go online… according to your posts. Well Fishingstage is Online and is social media but you don’t do that either. What a goofy person. So if I call the state of Idaho they will tell me yes we have a law but only Catfish Hunter is exempt from all the rules?

Are we all supposed to give you a standing ovation? Or as usual say Big Deal. Remember the post isn’t about you. It’s about GOOD PEOPLE so it definitely isn’t about you.

So once again the law is the same. There is a permit process. When you call them there is a permit. Are you like not seeing this for third time on the same topic. Oregon actually used the Idaho process to mold theirs but I forgot in your mind it doesn’t exist.

I helped a couple of hunters, who had claimed this road kill. I had them bring it to the house and helped salvage the Elk. They ended up with 216#of meat. Yesterday, I received a Work-sharp knife sharpener from Amazon. They had somehow gotten my address and sent it as a thank you. I had actually almost bought the same unit during the Christmas season sales. Nice unexpected surprise.

You will love the Work-sharp. Easy, fast, great edge.
Make sure you read the manual/instructions, and watch the video so you don’t mess up the knife point.

No offense, guys, but could you
take your bickering someplace
else ? This constant back-and-

for others on the Stage ! I've had
my share of getting into verbal

now I just try to ignore certain peoples' posts so's not to get into
any more scrapes ! Please CEASE

like OPPS, maybe ? Thanks !

Doing someone a favor and they appreciate it. Trying to get you back on track here junior.
If the laws is the same, as you attempt to twist things here, why are you applying, online, for a roadkill permit? We don’t do that here. My, personal, experience is 3 road kills no paperwork. 🤔. We stopped and helped a gal load a cow elk that got clipped by a log truck. I dispatched the elk. As we were loading it on a snow machine trailer a state trooper stopped and helped us load it. He said “looks like you got yourself a freezer full for the winter”. Didn’t ask who shot it, didn’t make the gal fill out any paperwork and helped us load it. Didn’t even ask any of our names. He called in the location to the game and fish and we all went on our way. Is that how you do it in Oregon? Pretty nice huh?

Sorry Big A. I’ll try to just ignore him as he attacks every post I’m make to anyone. He’s got me blocked and won’t talk to me man to man but I get it. I’ll stop from my end.
