Hey guys. Just got some pics from my neighbor in Tahoe and the house is bout buried in snow. Looks to be bout 4 feet of snow on the roof.
That means I gotta get up there NOW and get it off before I leave for Texas. That means leavin in a few min for Tahoe.
Of all days or times to travel up there. Freakin New Years Eve.
OH well, it is what it is. It'll take me a minimum of 2 days to get all of it off.
Guess I'll talk to y'all after I get back.
Happy New Year guys.

Can you get any help from the fire department with a donation? I donate to the fire department at Incline and they are available for help often times!!

I've never heard of them helpin out like that in Tahoe.
I've decided to get up and get on the road bout 4am tomorrow and hopefully get up there and start workin by 9am.
That way I don't have to spend 250+ dollars for a room in MOTEL 6 ! Course, it is New Years Eve.
Just never heard of a 250+ dollar room at Motel 6 in Lake Tahoe before.
I'll keep y'all informed of the progress today.

We've used them several times at Tahoe for all sorts of help including carrying a 450 pound stove up 2 stories; I've always just stopped by their station and then give them a nice tip. They also came out and marked trees that we could cut as the state of Nevada wouldn't let us until we got the fire department involved. However we are on the Nevada side and maybe that could be a difference. Have a good safe trip and good luck, Russ

WOW ! NO JOKE ! I just did a search
on Trivago - the cheapest motel
listed for tonight and tomorrow
night was $241/night ! That's nearly FOUR TIMES their normal rate !

I guess if folks want to play
(during the holiday), they
REALLY have to pay !
(Like - up the wazoo !)

Good luck Steve and be careful on the ride as well as the Roof. Falling on your butt and breaking a hip will put a real cramp in your fishing next year.
