I agree Frank. It’s frustrating how some veterans get lots of things and others get nothing and we all served the same country during the same periods. I know people younger than me who COULDN’T have served during active war time during the Vietnam war but they’re getting healthy compensation for “war time injuries”. I’m 66 and was too young to be involved in the, actual, war even though I volunteered to join the military. I suppose it boils down the squeaky wheel thing and I don’t complain enough. When I joined my grandparents said “one good thing is you’ll have medical insurance for life when you eat out”. I’m glad they’re not here to see what I got. Served my country for 4 years, discharged honorably and kicked to the curb ever since. The doctor I had at the VA in Wyoming told me I could qualify for a few different disability avenues. I never pursued any of them because I’ve been able to work and get by just fine my whole life. Too many people just jump on board for free tax dollars n their pocket when they really don’t have much wrong with them at all. The way I look a it is if a person can go fishing, hunting, traveling, vacationing, work at doing just about anything they want to do then the American tax payer should not be paying extra taxes to cover their rocking chair pay check. That’s just me. Then, at the same time, I’m seeing billions and billions of those same tax dollars being spent on free medical care, free airfare, free housing and a host of other free things for i*****l i*******ts from the south. Maybe I should have taken that doctor up on his offer 40 years ago. I’m glad I didn’t because I sleep well knowing I’m not part of the deficit problem.

You might want to get that VA medical ball rolling. You're not getting any younger and health issues seem to mount up as we age. Won't take long for private medical care to eat through any set asides for that purpose.
