Relaxing day today. Maybe I'll call my brother and have him over. Would have had him in yesterday, but dinner wasn't at my house, not my call. Daughter was pretty well maxed out for space. Dining room table ran into the hall and across to the living room. Took dinner over to my neighbor who lives alone and doesn't have much family.around here. Made her a tiny little apple pie, first time I made one myself. Wife is the master pie maker.

Hi FT. I may be back on the shopping trail. Bug found some items at Costco she really liked n wants a couple more. I told her we'd call n if available we'd go. The things I do for that woman n she doesn't even like me ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. We brought a big box of food back from our dinner for our neighbor. She's around 90 but still very sharp. Her grandson lives with her but was there yesterday. Bug took it over to her when we got home. She was very happy. She has 5 daughters but they seem to always be busy ๐Ÿฅด. We keep tabs on her. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

The day of giving is behind us now and as we bend over and hear our bodies creek and groan. The picking up that torn piece of wrapping paper or that tinsel before it gets caught in the vacuum, the memories of the preceding day make it all worthwhile.

How are you spending this day of rest?

Mornin', plum, Our house has been empty this weekend, but today it will be full, a joyous time will be had. The Vikings will be on the TV but won't get much attention without Cook in there. Thank you plum, and have a good day.

Thanks FG. Her husband passed almost two yrs ago. Retired military. Went in a private came out Lt. Col. Her grandson received his third kidney transplant at age 27. His mom passed in 06 from cancer. Dad remarried n doesn't want him around anymore than necessary. Shame on his dad. Bug made her a blanket for Christmas. Made was happy as could be. She surprised us with two gift cards. Lowes n Applebee's. Ever since I met her in 95 we've been looking after someone. It's been fun. Have a great day brothers ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks Whitey we try. I'm lucky to be in a nice neighborhood. Of course like all place we have one that likes to use people. The one that stabs you in the back when you're away. Most of us have learned n just avoid him now. ๐Ÿ‘

Bought 2 of them for picking up pine cones in NC that were everywhere on our property bk. Now here in this pea patch of a property no cones, but since the wife's surgery they have been very useful for almost everything that falls. Even adjust the drapes with it.

I use one or picking mushrooms, especially under thorny thickets.
Also good for removing old wasp nests from under roof soffits.

I took this afternoon to make a batch of chili. Just finished a bowl while watching the first, and probably last, football game of the season. It's recovery day.
