Cool. Thanks for the reply sir. Have a great Xmas. Have a good safe hunt.

I agree wholeheartedly about grandkids. Itโ€™s definitely a different feeling than the first round of children.

I told my daughter I have withdrawals when I donโ€™t see my grandson for a week or more. It is very fun. He was born into a hunting family

You are right about the Grandkids, I was very luck growing up my grandparents always took us fishing and hunting.
Caught my 1st Yellowtail and shoot my 1st Dove and Quial with my Grandfather. I was very blessed to have them as grandparents ๐Ÿ™.
I cried when they both passed away. Lots of great memories.
God bless are Grandkids.
Have a beautiful Christmas

I saw a battle between a HUGE 16 point and really nice 10 point in a residential neighborhood. The 16 gored the 10 in the stomach and it died in someoneโ€™s back yard. I called Warden and was able to tag it and get the meat. This was before camera phones, would have been an awesome video!

I bet๐Ÿ‘

Unfortunately, this happens more than we may ever know. We have a couple regions of the state which are known for producing big bucks which have been locked together. One guy I know of was attacked by a big buck which had the head and neck of another buck still attached, which prevented the surviving buck from eating. It charged him and I believe he put 5 arrows in it to kill the buck. Both heads are mounted (still locked together) in a corner of his rec. room. It is presumed the surviving buck basically stomped the other bucks head off at the neck, with his hooves. It must have carried it around for a few days as the smell was horrendous.

Unfortunately, this happens more than we may ever ... (show quote)

I just searched for the story of the Hall buck from 1984 in Glidden, WI. One version was the dead buck was either a 17 or a 19 pointer, carried around for weeks, by the surviving 10 pointer. Both were P&Y class, but no pictures. I remember seeing the mount on the cover of Deer & Deer Hunting Magazine at the time, but the story I just read said the mount was displayed in a bar, but it was lost when the bar burned down. What a shame!

That is crazy.
I have had does get upset and stomp their feet and snort and hiss for a minute or two. It is quite a show.
Merry Christmas

Those bucks really got themselves into a mess! Excess testosterone sure does make us do stupid things! ...And the bucks, too!
