I could not agree more. California I believe is trying to do away with gasoline so in the next 15 years or less price could increase to $50 or more per gallon.

Well Maniac, that line there is a summary, that says it all! Now there is no pride, no work ethic and it's all owed to "me", no need to earn my own.

I know that's not universal, but it sure stands out, about too many.

I also pumped gas for $0.27/8/9 and remember when one station I worked for, had to raise it to $0.36, thought we'd never be ably to sell any!

Also the "S&H" green stamps, and promotional give aways. got my Mom, Girlfriend (who is now my Wife of over 50 years) and my Mother-in-Law to be, complete sets. We still have some of them.

Only had one Chevy with that
feature - a 1960 'clunker' that
cost more to register than the purchase price and used more
oil than gas ! Took it to the
beach one time (45 min. ride) -
it cost me $5.00 each for gas
AND oil ! - What a smoker !

I too had a 60โ€™ Chevy back in 67โ€™/68โ€™. The 3 on the tree was planted on the floor. A 283 punched out to a 301. Just had trouble keeping carrier bearings in itโ€ฆ๐ŸŸon

I wish I still had my 57 Chevy. It would be worth a mint today.

I had one of those too. Mine was a station wagon. Left the back seat down with a mattress in the back. Made a lot of overnight stays in Santa Cruzโ€ฆ๐ŸŸon
