There is only one this cheese heads like more than fishing. Just buy a Green Bay tee shirt, sweat shirt and hat and ask at the bait shop and you will be good.
As a 50-plus year resident of WI before moving to TN, I think you are probably right. Hunting might be up there too but the Pack is #1 for cheeseheads.

Lake Michigan charters for salmon, any lake in Vilas County, WI Dept of Natural Resources website(search - Find a Lake, Shore Fishing, State Parks(most have lakes with shore fishing access), Trout Stream Map), Hot Spots Maps, Sportsmen's Connection-Lake Guide Book Maps. There are a few of us on here from Wisconsin. Best bet is to check local bait shops in the area you intend to fish.
Welcome to the area. Lots of good fishing around here. If you’re anxious to get started, the brown trout are in the harbor and river throughout the winter. They were being caught behind the Summerfest Grounds either on minnows with a 3 way swivel or spawn under a slip bobber
Thanks for the info will defiantly look into that not to keen on fishing in the cold I know moved to a place that is cold in the winter but better than 120 in the shade if you can find it.
Got the hat and will check with the bait shops thanks

Just because you live up here doesn't mean you have to ice fish. I leave it to the hearty. I prefer winter indoors.
That works for me will start in the spring time

The only ice fishing I ever do is trying to get it from the freezer to my glass and even then the big one gets away!
I hear that few time the big one got away from to.

I owned a cottage in southeast Wisconsin for almost 20 years. The whole time I had an ice auger in the shed that I never used. That is my take on ice fishing.
Works for me I have this fear of going through the ice even if they are driving on it. My luck would be they made a thin spot and I would find it
I’m a retired guy so I drive down there occasionally and fish vicariously from the warmth of my car until I see someone pull one in

Sorry I am so late in getting back to you, but this work stuff gets in the way. I am in Oak Creek, but we have access to some awesome fishing within an hour from here. You’re okay with the Packer hat, just don’t root for Da Bears! 😂
Lots of fish can be caught from the bank (the Muskie in my avatar was caught off a pier on the WI River). Let me know what you’re interested in and I’ll try to point you in the right direction. Welcome to the land of cheese, brats and beer!
Howdy any help would be appreciated. What was the location of the pier on the WI river? and what bait, lures, and lines do you use?
