They live all over the country.

State of mind not necessarily location.

IMHO

12 rounds fired on the first Southerners volley. Wouldn't that be 11 ( ten in magazine + 1 in the chamber ) . I could be mistaken though, don't own a Kimber.I'm too cheap. But I get the point, who needs to think when family is in danger. In my State though, you would face a real chance of arrest and prosecution. Excessive and unwarranted force. Folks here really believe that stuff for the most part?!? We're a blue state although the towns surrounding mine went red in the last round of b****ting early this month. It's a start.

We are a blue state—-we have 15-20% more democrats than republicans which explains why everyone I know v**ed republican.
As opposed to Massachusetts which is mostly Democrats.
More surprisingly is we are an open carry state. (By permit)

Here is a little test that will help you decide.

The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a
deserted street with your wife
and two small children.

Suddenly, a Terrorist with a huge knife
comes around the corner,
locks eyes with you,
screams obscenities,
raises the knife, and charges at you...

You are carrying a
Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?

THINK CAREFULLY AND
THEN SCROLL DOWN:

Democrat's Answer:
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
What is a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP?
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Is he really a terrorist? Am I guilty of profiling?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just k*****g me?
Does he definitely want to k**l me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint & weed day.
Can we make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.
This is all so confusing!

............ ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ........ ......... ..
Republican's Answer:

BANG!

Southerner's Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG ! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Click..... (Sounds of reloading)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!

Daughter: 'Nice grouping, Daddy!'
'Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points?!

Son: 'Can I shoot the next one?!'

Wife: 'You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist!
Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Southerner?... (show quote)

Well said— you missed one for the Democrat—-“Maybe we should offer to buy him lunch!”

Our second amended guarantees us the right, as legal U.S. citizens to own and bare arms WITHOUT a permit. My understanding is that is to mean EVERY state in the U.S. as it’s in the U.S. constitution. I carry openly wherever I go, with due respect given where asked, and I’ll never pursue a permit to do so. I just moved from a blue state and now live in a red state. I’m neither blue nor red but a little of both I’d say. Not extreme on either one but neutral in my thinking. I can say I’m way more red than blue right now for obvious reasons but I don’t have a label. Never have. It’s stand up time guys and gals.

I don't intend to be critical, but if you carry UNconcealed on the street here, you're gonna have problems with law enforcement, unless you are holding a special permit meant for security guards, Armored car drivers ,and so forth. Please check with the CT Department of Public Safety.

It’s that way in many states. Still unconstitutional. When I was in Oregon if a person was seen exercising their second amendment rights it was about two seconds after someone saw them and called the law, before an army of armed police officers, with guns drawn, we’re on scene with tazers, body shields and back up shooters to wrestle the, law abiding, non threatening, legal U.S. citizen exercising their rights, to the ground and detaining them without cause. I suppose history of violence has caused places to change the laws but they can’t change the constitution as easily as our current administration says they can. The president can say “we’re not gonna pay any attention to the constitution” all he wants but who is “we”. Definitely not me. We all have constitutional rights and it’s time to protect those, in my opinion, instead of just bending over and doing what we are being told to do by people who couldn’t care less about us.

Cat... I'm getting the big picture on this issue, but I'm not certain how to turn this around. In the interim, I'm trying to keep someone out of trouble. We don't need one of our own sitting in a cell, because of a misunderstanding of our state statutes here. We will need to demand each locality adhere to the USSupreme court rulings that guarantee our 2nd Amendment guarantees. The case law is there, but rouge US district courts, like the 9th, refuse to grant the rights as directed. Judges for life, thats where we need term limits. I welcome comments and criticism from y'all but it'll be in the attic. We can't continue to wait for cases to wind there way through the system. The Supreme court needs to assert itself and censure these lower court rebels. Just saying. Any attorneys out there, what do you say ?
