We go to more motor vehicle accidents than fires and i can tell you the number one cause of car wrecks these days is driving while using a phone…either talking or trying to text. Its as bad as driving drunk….its almost impossible to concentrate on the road while using a phone.

It wasn’t that long ago I would be paddling out to my favorite spot on waters like this some early morning.

Visions in my mind, prayers in my words, and the silence of a calm river in my ears. Knowing only to well to have patience, I will get there.

Life not on the water is the same way. Patience is a must to really enjoy what we have.

Thanks Plum. Words to surely try to live by. Fishing is really the only time I have patience and appreciation for being able to do that. God Bless.

You’re a 100% correct D. It irritates the crap out of me to see someone on their phone. I don’t know about other states but sadly it’s not really enforced on Texas highways. I’ve seen ‘em on foggy days and nights and in hard rains. I’ve seen women putting on their makeup, looking in the mirror, and talking on their phone. That really pisses me off. They can’t be in that much of a hurry to just pull over, if they can, and if they can’t stay off the phone until they can. There is a small city near me that has signs posted “No electronic devises allowed to be used on the roads in Deer Park”. They enforce it too. They, like most of us, are sick and tired of the injuries and deaths happening because a phone was involved. My Dimes Worth.

Hack when I was still working a minimum of once a WK I had someone cross the line on me. We've had 3 vehicles by damaged. One drunk ran stop sign. One distracted ran red light n one a woman thought she had the right to make a right turn from the left turn lane. All three significant damage. I don't see Pa or Md aggressively enforcing it. 🤬🤬
